Chocolate. Every woman’s weakness. Well, maybe not every woman’s, but certainly mine. (Adam came home today with a box of dark chocolate almond bark from a gentleman at church. Yum!) Some people can eat all they want guilt free. I am not one of those people. It doesn’t go to my butt or my thighs, my hips, or even my arms. Nope, it goes straight to my pores. That’s right. I am forever doomed to poor complexion due to my obsession with the cocoa. Darn.

I’ll be honest. The Decoden style hasn’t really grown on me yet. There have been a couple of items that have made me go :O, but for the most part, it isn’t for me.

Except this.

It’s so chocolatey and cute that I find it hard to resist. This cute little case by luciferious is perfect for all those girls like me who will sit there in full makeup slamming furiously on those buttons during a boss battle in FFIII and cursing under her breath because she used all her phoenix downs. Yes, I am a girly girl. Yes, I like video games. No, this is not Nintendogs.

Eat Me Original Oil Painting by FreckledPancakes

I’ve said it many times before. I work in the third dimension so I greatly envy those with skill for drawing, and painting in particularly. Oil painting really floors me, especially realism. Most realism that I’ve seen isn’t so real. Sure it looks like it could be a photograph, but upon closer inspection, I find that the subject matter itself is perfect and to me, that’s not all that real.

That isn’t the case here. FreckledPancakes pays such attention to life’s details such as the air pockets in the frosting around the base of the cake. Can’t you just hear the little ‘pfft pfft’ of the pasty bag as the air bubbles made their way through?

Man what I wouldn’t give to have this in my kitchen.

Campfire Wedding Favors by dasweetzpot

This is possibly my favourite of all the chocolatey goodness of today. As a bride, I am constantly scouring the internet (because bridal mags are filled with the expensive) for ideas, inspiration, and goodies to incorporate into my summer wedding. Gone Fishing

Good evening! Tonight’s finds are all about the sport of fishing. I haven’t gone fishing in many years, but my parents used to live on a lake and sometimes my dad would take me fishing with him. I never had the guts to hook the worm, so I used to use the purple worm lures. I loved those.

You could pack a picnic lunch, because everyone loves a picnic, and why not put all your snacks in these cute little fish themed baggies? How cute is this towel? Harborbluedesigns makes me want an embroidery machine so bad! Not that I would ever manage to get around to doing something like this, but I really just love this towel. There are a lot of fish themed things, but not a whole lot of ‘fishing’ things that are beach or pool related. This would be super cute in a fishing themed kids’ bathroom as well!

Props for the towel colour too. It’s my favourite.

PinkDaffodilPhoto has captured my childhood fishing scene. An old dock on a serene lake in the woods. My old fishing, swimming, and boating cove. Unfortunately, my dock is no longer there, no one fishes, and no one swims. My parents sold their boat years ago, but this photo makes me feel like nothing had changed. Thanks for that.
