Gone Fishing

20 Aug

Good evening! Tonight’s finds are all about the sport of fishing. I haven’t gone fishing in many years, but my parents used to live on a lake and sometimes my dad would take me fishing with him. I never had the guts to hook the worm, so I used to use the purple worm lures. I loved those.

Reusable Snack Bag gone Fishing by evelynfields

Whether you’re on a boat, or sitting on the dock, at some point, you’ll be hungry. You could pack a picnic lunch, because everyone loves a picnic, and why not put all your snacks in these cute little fish themed baggies? Evelynfields has made these super cute reusable bags in a really good size (just look at all those almonds! Yum!) and a really nice cotton.

I love the idea of three or four of them all lined up with goodies in each one, like a fishing outing snack buffet.

Applique Beach Towel Fishing Lure by harborbluedesigns

How cute is this towel? Harborbluedesigns makes me want an embroidery machine so bad! Not that I would ever manage to get around to doing something like this, but I really just love this towel. There are a lot of fish themed things, but not a whole lot of ‘fishing’ things that are beach or pool related. This would be super cute in a fishing themed kids’ bathroom as well!

Props for the towel colour too. It’s my favourite. :)

Quiet Reflection Vintage Boat Dock 8x10 print by PinkDaffodilPhoto

PinkDaffodilPhoto has captured my childhood fishing scene. An old dock on a serene lake in the woods. My old fishing, swimming, and boating cove. Unfortunately, my dock is no longer there, no one fishes, and no one swims. My parents sold their boat years ago, but this photo makes me feel like nothing had changed. Thanks for that. :)

Lilacs

Couldn’t think of a creative title for this one. I wanted to show off some artists who have highlighted my favourite flower. Enjoy!

Hint of Lilac Fine Art Flower Photograph 8x8 by Grainne Photography

This photograph definitely lives up to its title. Since lilacs are my absolute favourite scent, I want to inhale as much of it as possible. GrainnePhotography sets up the perfect teaser in this composition. The hint of lilac here keeps me continually looking back at it hoping for more, in the same way something scented with a hint, causes me to sniff more and more, hoping that the next time I’ll be able to catch more.

Wonderful.

Handmade Accent Pillow Cushion in Cotton and Felt with Large Purple Lilac Flower by Buffalovely

I love this pillow! Buffalovely does a wonderful job portraying the lilac in so many little felt pieces. They look so soft and vibrant! Not only that, but the shades of purple that make up the lilac match my living room perfectly! This would be such a great springtime pillow and makes me wish that I had a white front porch with a swing to display it.

Lilac Solid Perfume Stick by SimpleTraditions

SimpleTraditions has it. PORTABLE LILAC. In a STICK. I always tend to forget to use oil sticks, and I feel like perfume in a bottle is fancy and for fancy occasions. A solid perfume stick is perfect because I can keep it handy in my handbag and when I pull out my lip balm, I’ll most likely remember to use it and get excited about it every time!
